Therapeutic Support Groups
Healing happens best in community. Our therapeutic support groups bring together people who share similar struggles, offering safe, confidential, and professionally facilitated spaces for connection, insight, and growth. Whether you are a young man navigating questions about your behavior, an adult seeking stability, or a family member searching for support—you’ll find understanding, encouragement, and practical tools to help you move forward. Here are our therapeutic groups:
Next Chapter
A Support Group for Young Men Concerned About Their Sexual Behavior
Adolescence and early adulthood bring challenges around identity, relationships, and sexual behavior that may feel confusing or overwhelming. Next Chapter is a facilitated support group for young men (ages 18–24) who want a safe space to talk openly, gain insight, and begin writing a healthier story for their lives.
Each weekly session includes honest conversation, guided activities, and peer connection. Participants learn to build awareness, explore healthier choices, and find positive ways to handle urges and behaviors. This group emphasizes respect, confidentiality, and the belief that young men are not defined by their struggles—they are the authors of their next chapter.
Steady Ground
A Support Group for Men Concerned About Their Sexual Behavior
When sexual behavior feels difficult to control, it can affect relationships, work, and personal well-being. Steady Ground is a support group for men ages 25 and older who are seeking stability, accountability, and healthier sexual decision-making.
Weekly sessions provide a nonjudgmental space for reflection, peer support, and practical strategies. Through guided exercises and open discussion, participants learn to recognize triggers, strengthen self-control, and rebuild confidence in their ability to live with integrity. The focus is not on shame, but on cultivating balance, resilience, and healthier choices that last.
Focus Forward
A Support and Recovery Group for MAPs Navigating Addiction
Focus Forward is a facilitated weekly group for Minor Attracted Persons (MAPs) who are actively working to overcome addiction and reclaim control of their lives. This group offers safety, connection, and accountability in a supportive environment of peers who understand the journey of recovery.
Each 60–75 minute session includes personal updates, structured activities for growth and self-awareness, and open discussion with feedback. Participants learn to manage compulsions, build healthier coping skills, and create momentum for lasting change. Focus Forward isn’t about dwelling on the past—it’s about resilience, progress, and steady steps toward a healthier future.
Shared Path
A Free Support Group for Young MAPs (ages 18–24)
Connection can be hard to find, especially when facing challenges as a young MAP. Shared Path is a free, weekly online group designed for young MAPs to share experiences, build understanding, and find encouragement in a safe, supportive community.
Each session includes space for conversation, peer connection, and celebrating growth together. All participants are vetted to ensure safety and respect. Shared Path is about creating a place of belonging—where members can feel heard, supported, and understood. There’s no cost to join, only a commitment to connection and growth.
Journey Together
A Support Group for Friends and Families of MAPs
Loving or supporting someone who is a Minor Attracted Person (MAP) can be overwhelming, confusing, and isolating. Journey Together is a facilitated support group designed specifically for friends and family members of MAPs who want to better understand, cope, and find strength in community.
Each weekly session provides a safe, confidential space to share your experiences, explore the challenges of supporting a loved one, and connect with others who understand the unique complexities of this journey. Through guided discussion, practical tools, and mutual encouragement, participants gain insight, reduce stigma, and discover healthier ways to care for themselves while also supporting their loved one’s path forward.
Journey Together offers a place of compassion and connection. None of us have it all figured out, but together we can share strength, navigate uncertainty, and remind one another that this path doesn’t have to be walked alone.
Questions about our Support Groups?
Who can join a therapeutic support group?
Each group is designed for a specific audience—whether young men, adult men, or family members. Our facilitators will help you find the group that best fits your needs.
Do I have to share personal details?
No. You are welcome to participate at your own pace. Many people choose to listen at first and share when they feel ready.
Are the groups confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of all our groups. What is shared in group stays in group, creating a safe and respectful space for everyone.
How long are the sessions?
Most groups meet weekly for 60–75 minutes. This gives time for check-ins, structured activities, and open discussion.
Who leads the groups?
All groups are facilitated by trained professionals who ensure the sessions are safe, respectful, and focused on growth.
Is there a cost to join?
Groups are free, but donations are requested. Your presence in the group is much more important than any dollar amount you might donate.
Do I need to commit every week?
Consistency is encouraged, as regular participation builds trust and connection. However, we understand that life happens—if you need to miss a week, that’s okay.
